Before we explore the latest A.R.T. studio, here is a picture of the E1 - E3 era or as most of the studio techies know it as "the Euphonix consol studio". The name Euphonix first appeared on the E2 album sleeve. Here you can see Michael at work and notice how large the consol is. Basically he had to operate everything by moving up and down the whole length of the desk. Most conventional studio's are designed much like this, and each track has it's own dedicated row of faders, EQ settings etc. When we get to the latest consol you will notice how compact it is compared to this version.
